POTUSFI
About

Your wealth shouldn't have to be sold to become useful.

Selling a position to spend costs you the asset, its upside and often a tax event. The asset was doing its job — the problem was that it wasn't reachable. POTUSFI exists to make it reachable without giving it up.

POTUSFI is a protocol specification. Nothing is deployed, audited, or available to use, and none of this is financial advice.

The thesis

Robinhood Chain put real equities onchain as ERC-20 tokens with Chainlink price feeds. That is the hard part, and somebody else did it. What is missing is the layer that turns those holdings into something usable: a credit line you can draw on, a dollar you can spend, and a card that works at a till.

POTUSFI owns the credit experience, the USDG credit system, risk policy, account abstraction, the card experience and governance. Robinhood Chain provides the RWA substrate. The two are deliberately separate concerns.

What POTUSFI is

An onchain financial account that converts tokenized assets into credit and spending power — a neobank experience with a lending protocol underneath, not the other way round.

What it is not

  • Another stablecoin
  • Another DEX
  • Another generic money market
  • Another yield farm
  • Another RWA marketplace
  • Another Compound frontend

Where durability comes from

Not the lending contract — a lending contract can be forked in an afternoon. The parts that compound are harder to copy, and most of them only accumulate with real users over real time.

The site is ahead of the protocol on purpose: it is easier to argue about a specification you can click through than one you have to read.

Open questions

Base-asset market or CDP? Settled.

The two carry different solvency invariants, and the choice was made twice: ADR 0001 chose a CDP with a protocol stablecoin, and ADR 0002 reversed it. The market is a pooled Comet lending USDG — the dollar the chain already uses — with the costs of that choice stated up front: a borrow can be refused for liquidity, and residual bad debt lands on lenders last, after the insurance reserve and the pool's reserves.

Should POTUSComet derive from Comet?

The licence question is settled — Comet's BUSL Change Date has passed, so it is GPL-2.0-or-later, and POTUSFI is GPL as a result. What is still open is whether to derive from it at all, which depends on the issuance model above: a Comet base-asset market and a CDP are not the same engine.

Who is actually eligible?

Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities, not legal ownership of the underlying, and carry geographic and eligibility restrictions. Lending, payments, card issuing and stablecoin issuance are each separately regulated. POTUSFI cannot assume anyone anywhere can use it.

Read the specification.

The docs cover the architecture, the risk model, liquidation and the contract surface — including everything that is still unresolved.
