Oracle
Pricing collateral, corporate actions, and what happens when a feed fails.
Robinhood Stock Tokens have onchain Chainlink price feeds, and those are the canonical valuation source wherever supported. At 97% LTV, price latency is the binding risk in the whole system — the gap between liquidation and insolvency is two points, and a stale feed spends it.
Required checks
- Price is greater than zero
- Feed is valid and not stale
- Asset is active in the registry
- Trading-halt status considered
- Corporate-action multiplier applied
Corporate actions
Stock Tokens use an onchain multiplier for splits and dividends. A holder’s raw ERC-20 balance can stay constant while the multiplier changes what it represents, so collateral must never be valued from the raw balance alone.
Value = Token Balance × Effective Multiplier × Oracle PriceFailure handling
If a feed becomes invalid the protocol stops new borrowing and stops collateral increases, while existing positions remain protected. Critically, it must not liquidate against a stale or invalid price — a bad feed is not evidence that a position is unhealthy.
Trading halts
| Market state | Policy |
|---|---|
| Normal | Borrow, repay, withdraw |
| Trading halt | Repay and deposit only — no new borrowing |
| Extended halt | Risk reduction |
| Asset suspended | Governance review |
